We are not left to navigate through this life on our own. God does give us wisdom and direction, and He has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. So, to successfully represent the Father in this earth, we must follow our Guide. Holy Spirit is in us, and He will work through us the will of God for our lives, if we allow Him to lead us according to the heart of God.
The purpose of the work of Holy Spirit in our lives is not to bring glory to the one who is seeing and hearing the revelation, but rather to glorify God; therefore, we must steward these things according to His wisdom, timing, and purposes. There is a great excitement in working with Holy Spirit, but there is also tremendous responsibility that accompanies that privilege. Many people have a zeal for the things of God, and that is a necessary component; however, wisdom must be a constant companion to the zeal.
Holy Spirit gives us strategies, revelation, and insight. He guides us. He opens our eyes so we can see. God desires to impart His wisdom to us, and as we submit to Holy Spirit, He works on behalf of God to do just that. As we cooperate with Holy Spirit, we will hear and receive what is on the mind of God. Sometimes, the revelation may be given for personal guidance in our own prayers or situations. Sometimes, He will anoint us to say what we see, and like the cry from a watchman on the wall, this Holy Spirit imparted wisdom and revelation gives clarity to others who hear it so they may run with the vision to utilize the wisdom and insight in order that God’s Kingdom can come and that His will can be done in earth as it is in Heaven.
Prayer is key for us as we work with Holy Spirit in stewarding these things appropriately. We must always seek God for His direction, timing, and wisdom.
Our approach to true prophetic revelation should always be one of reverence and respect for God and for His intentions. We should never be careless and casual with the things of God. We must never make them our own and use them for our advantage or at our own discretion. To hear and to see the prophetic revelation is one thing; knowing what to do with that revelation in alignment with God’s intentions is another level of working with Holy Spirit, our Guide. That requires wisdom, integrity, and obedience. It’s not hard and laborious, but it’s an easy flow when we are submitted to God and following our Guide. It’s also the greatest joy and excitement of our lives when we work with Holy Spirit and see God’s will come to pass! He gets all of the glory, and we get the joy of knowing that we are His and that through us and in us, His will is being revealed and accomplished!
