There comes a moment in our lives when the destiny of God in us meets up with the timing of God for us. When that happens, shifts take place—things begin to change—and to be really honest, it causes pressure that is unmatched by any other you faced. Most of the time, the real source of the pressure is our own thoughts—trying to stay who we’ve always been when God is calling us to be who He always knew we could and would be. The only thing that will relieve the pressure is to release the purpose that He has put in us. The only way we will ever release the purpose is by totally giving in to God and allowing Him to do in and through us what He knows and desires. It doesn’t matter if you are young or old, if you’ve been a Christian for fifty years or five days. When destiny and timing meet, it’s time to get real with God and get self out of the way! It may be one of the scariest, seemingly hardest things we have ever done, but know this: It’s what our spirit man is crying out for!
If life is stale where you are now and the pressures seem to be intensifying, it could be that you are closing in on God’s timing for something great to be released in you! Don’t miss the moment by holding onto an old identity when God is desiring to break you through into the place and into the “real you” that only He knows and can see. He has empowered you for this moment. All you have been through has led you to this moment. You’ve come too far to look back. You’ve been through too much to allow fear to cause you to go back around the mountain again. You are at the river. Go ahead and cross it and let God show you what’s on the other side and let Him release through you the power and purpose of His anointing in you! He’s got connections and strategies waiting for you. He will open doors and new paths for you. It doesn’t mean you discount the old path you’ve been on; it just means God is leading you on to more.
It can be kind of scary when we find ourselves in a new place because we tend to get so accustomed to who we’ve always been and somehow convince ourselves that that’s all there is, but then God starts showing you new things, more! The “old man” seeks to confine you to where you have been, but your “new man”—your spirit—is crying out and stirring you to believe Him for the “more”. I’m finding out that God does have more, and afraid or not, I’m going after it! I’m going after Him!
Be! Be who God says you can be. Don’t be afraid to go after Him with all you have in you! Rely on Holy Spirit. That’s what He’s there for—to show you things to come, to lead you into truth, to show you the way, to empower you to do what you cannot do on your own. God’s got you covered. Be!
