Don’t forfeit the victory because you are afraid to take the first steps on the journey!
Fear and uncertainty will always fill your mind with seemingly rational excuses as long as they are allowed to be your controlling influence! Fear and uncertainty draw your focus to yourself, and the truth is, when it comes to your God-identity and your God-given purposes, you won’t find, within your own ability, the power to accomplish the tasks that will be set before you! God’s ways ARE higher than our ways. His thoughts ARE much higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9)! But, God’s plans and purposes ARE very much achievable! It’s all about focus, trust, and surrender!
You first have to KNOW that God is leading you, He does have a plan, and you do have a part in that plan! “Real LIFE, and that more abundantly” becomes our reality only when we walk in faith in God and in obedience to God! To do that, we must know and concede that within ourselves, we can do nothing, but in Christ, ALL things are possible, and ALL things are possible for us if and when we take our focus off ourselves and put our complete trust in Him to lead us and enable us! Our help is IN God! Our strength is IN Christ! Our guidance is IN Holy Spirit! So, forward means complete trust and surrender to God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit!
The enemy wants you to believe that surrender to God is too hard or that you have to “give up too much”! So, fear, if allowed, begins to convince you, “I can’t!” But what fear doesn’t allow you to see is that true surrender to God is actually a great exchange. We trade our inabilities for His abilities! We trade our lack of knowledge for His unmatched wisdom! We trade our lack for His unending supply that is above and more than anything we could ask, think, or imagine! Rewarded obedience springs forth as our faith in God arises in the act of surrender, and then we find ourselves walking in great power, fulfillment, and joy that we would have otherwise forfeited if we had allowed fear to control us!
Excuses fade in true surrender—because IN Christ, there is EVERYTHING we will ever need to accomplish ALL He asks of us or leads us into! Victory is guaranteed to those who choose to give their surrender to Christ, and not to fear and the spirit of the world!
If ever there was a time to surrender completely to Christ and trust Him and obey Him, this is that time!
